Major, Lindsey & Africa believes that a diverse workforce results in:
  • Better quality work
  • Better adaptability in changing environments
  • Better working relationships within organizations and externally with customers
  • Better ability to retain top quality talent
For all these reasons, we are committed to providing our clients with as diverse a slate of candidates as possible.

We understand and support our clients' efforts to recruit and retain legal talent of diverse backgrounds, so that their staff mirrors their community and clients. We also understand that building diversity is not a simple act of recruiting and hiring minorities and women. It takes a dedicated focus.

To that end, we have developed new diversity search services under the leadership of Paul S. Williams. Recognized by Black Enterprise magazine as one of the nation's top African American lawyers, Paul is the former General Counsel of a Fortune 20 company and now is our Managing Director - Global Diversity Search. Paul leads our efforts in assisting law firms and corporate legal departments in enhancing their diversity. As both a former general counsel and a legal recruiter, Paul has unique insight into how legal organizations can make diversity-related progress.

In addition, we are currently conducting our own proprietary research to better understand the needs of our diverse candidates, as well as the specific needs of our clients for a more diverse pool of candidates.
